News｜2023 Annual Meeting of the Functional Textiles Branch of China Nonwovens & Industrial Textiles Association (CNITA)
2024-11-19 16:06 On November 22, the 2023 Annual Meeting of the Functional Textiles Branch of the China Nonwovens & Industrial Textiles Association (CNITA) was successfully held. The event was jointly organized by CNITA and Qingdao University, hosted by the Functional Textiles Branch of CNITA, the College of Textiles and Clothing at Qingdao University, and the Institute of Functional Textiles and Advanced Materials at Qingdao University, with support from Hebei Fengzhan Webbing Co., Ltd. Certificates were awarded to Li Guimei and Li Yuhao as members of the branch’s standardization working group.
Questions addressed included: How can functional textiles develop within the context of modern Chinese textile industry growth? How can innovation in functional textiles be promoted within the framework of technological self-reliance? How can the industry support talent cultivation under the national talent development strategy?
In his concluding remarks, Li Lingshen stated that functional textiles represent a key area of international competition and a crucial part of building a modernized textile industry system. For the future development of the industry, he offered the following suggestions: first, to deepen supply-side structural reform to improve quality and efficiency; second, to ensure the autonomy, security, and controllability of the supply chain; third, to actively create an integrated innovation platform; and fourth, to strengthen research on functionality, comfort, and durability under real application conditions, striking a balance between protection level and economic feasibility.
